The District Mechanic will be responsible for:
- Performing necessary repairs and maintenance work on company vehicles as directed. They will assist the Chief Mechanic in the accomplishments of their duties.
- Performing and overhauling heavy trucks, pickup trucks and cars. Plan work procedures using charts and technical manuals. Disassemble and inspect parts for wear. Repair or replace parts as needed.
- Responsible for house cleaning of work area.
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Must have good knowledge of the processes and techniques used in major and minor mechanical and vehicle repair and maintenance. Must have good knowledge on safety processes required.
- The District Mechanic must be able to obtain and maintain a valid drivers license.
Physical Requirements:
Ability to perform average lifting up to 25 pounds occasionally up to 35 pounds. Have the agility and coordination required when climbing, stooping, crouching, kneeling, crawling under various conditions. Finger dexterity required with at least one hand involving reaching, handling and feeling.
